Wood burner was cozy, while communal toilet lacked a lock.

What a cozy spot! I loved hanging out in the relaxing lounge area and the outdoor BBQ space was a blast. Just a heads-up, the TV didn’t work because of a missing cable, but it didn’t ruin my stay at all! 😄

The location was simply stunning, with breathtaking views and plenty of open space for the kids to play. The large kitchen was fantastic for family meals, and we loved the comfortable beds that gave us a good night's sleep after a day of exploring.
In my wife's opinion, an earlier check-in would help us enjoy more family time.

Enjoyed a lovely stay in a large room with a stunning mountain view, enhanced by the occasional passing of the historic train. The well-equipped kitchen allowed us to cook our own meals, and the outdoor space provided a perfect spot to relax. Although the hotel operates with remote check-ins, the tranquility and thoughtful touches, like homemade pastries, made our experience memorable.

Had a blast with my partner! The room was huge with a comfy bed, perfect for chilling after a long day exploring. Strong WiFi & a great shower. We loved the fridge in the shared kitchen. The gardens were beautiful. A bit tricky to find parking, but that’s it. We’d totally stay again!

I recently spent two nights at Stanley House and overall, it had a charming vibe. The large double room was spacious and comfortable. I appreciated the well-equipped kitchen. it made cooking very easy. The location offered fantastic hiking opportunities right from the doorstep. the first room I was given had serious black mold problems. Once I reported it, the staff moved me to a different room promptly. That was great service. The communal areas, though nice, could use more cleaning. A bit more staff presence would have been helpful, especially for newcomers trying to figure things out. On the plus side, access to local pubs was convenient, allowing for enjoyable evenings without the need for driving.

the location of stanley house is simply beautifull and perfect for exploring the hills. the rooms are spacious and clean with comfy beds which made for a good sleep after long walks. i really liked that it had a fully equipped kitchen that suited all our cooking needs, and the logs by the fireplace added a nice touch of coziness. it was great being able to walk to the pubs nearby without needing to drive, super convenient! overall, had a relaxed stay and met some cool fellow travelers.
the tv in the room didn't have all the channels cause of a missing cable. also, the communal toilet could use a lock for more privacy.

The common areas have cozy log fires, creating a warm atmosphere after a long day exploring the nearby hills. Being able to walk to local pubs without the hassle of driving is a definite perk, making evenings feel relaxed and convenient.
The heating in the rooms fell short, leaving us chilled during the night, particularly in winter. The kitchen was stocked with dirty utensils, which didn’t reflect well on overall cleanliness. Plus, I would have appreciated more communication about the facilities and local amenities, like where to grab supplies without trekking far.
